Wow, where did 2008 go? I am so far behind!! I just now got Cooper's birth announcements sent out and he is almost 3 months old. I can't believe my baby is going to be 3 months on the 27th. When you know it is your last baby, it seems like you treasure everything. I had explained in an earlier blog that he was our fussy baby. After about a week of him screaming, I felt like something wasn't quite right with him. I didn't feel like he was just fussy. He seemed to be in so much pain when he was screaming, so I took him into the Dr and sure enough Mr Cooper has acid reflux. The Dr. started him on Zantac and Mylanta. After about a month, I didn't feel like it was working all that well, so we switched him to Prevacid and it seems to be doing the trick. He is still by far my fussiest baby, but it's not that painful scream when he cries. Cooper is starting to talk to us(coo) and smiles all the time. He's becoming quiet the chunky monkey as well!! At 10 weeks he weighed almost 14 lbs. So different than my other kids...Addison was never even on the charts!! Addison is loving preschool and is already talking about kindergarten. She is my couch potato.(I really think she would watch videos all day if I let her!) She also loves playing with her friends and her brother, dancing and singing(she must have music in her head all the time because she is constantly humming or singing). She loves arts and crafts and looking at books. Addison still loves holding Cooper and is a huge help to me! Maddox AKA Mad Dog is sweet and funny. He is always making me laugh! He and Addison are best friends. He loves sharing a room with his brother. Boy, talk about always having somebody in your face!!!!! poor Coop. Maddox loves him to death! He's also into cars and trucks, blocks, and being wild and crazy. Maddox misses Addison when she goes to school in the mornings, so some days we stick around for awhile and play. He is so ready to go to preschool. Jon is doing well with real estate. He works with a group of investors and deals mainly with foreclosures. He loves what he is doing! As hard as it was to lose Annabelle, we feel like God is using us to help other people who have lost babies. We have developed relationships with two families who have lost babies. A friend came over to my house after I found out Annabelle was going to die and talked to me and that meant so much to me. It was comforting to know that I wasn't alone and to see that somebody else had been through a similar situation and she had made it. Even though it is hard and brings up many hard memories, I feel like it is so worth it if we can be that friend to somebody and help them go through their grieving process. Because I didn't get a Christmas letter sent out, consider this just that!!! Maybe next year I will be more on the ball and actually get a letter sent out to everybody. Enjoy the pics!!
